Send a WhatsApp broadcast campaign
WebinarRun broadcast campaigns send one approved WhatsApp template to a list of people. You can send right away, schedule, pause, cancel and retry failed messages.
Before you start
- A connected WhatsApp Business number
- At least one approved template
- Permission to create and run campaigns
Create the campaign
Go to WhatsApp and open the Campaigns tab. Click New campaign, enter a Name, choose the Send from number if you have several, and pick the Template.
Schedule it (optional)
Set Schedule if you want it to send automatically at a set time. Leave it empty to send manually. Click Create campaign.
Add recipients
In the campaign, click Add. Use Manual entry, CSV upload, or From registrations with an Event ID to message that event’s registrants. Click Add recipients.
Send and monitor
Click Send now, or wait for the scheduled time. While it is sending you can Pause, Resume or Cancel. The Progress column shows delivery as it happens.
Retry failures and export
When it finishes, click Retry failed to try failed numbers again. Use Export CSV on the Campaigns tab to download campaigns with their delivery stats.
Good to know
- Contacts who replied STOP are treated as do-not-contact.
- Meta charges its own fee for each template message sent.
- To message a few chosen contacts, select them on the Contacts page and click Send template.
