Indicative: check Meta's rate card. Meta's India rate card as quoted by Meta Business Solution Providers (rates effective 1 January 2026; service-message charges from 1 October 2026, announced 1 July 2026). Not confirmed against Meta's own page. Checked 7 October 2026. Providers that resell WhatsApp access often add a markup on top of these rates.

How this is calculated

  1. Marketing, utility and authentication fees = messages in that category × the category rate.
  2. Service messages = replies by your team + replies by an AI agent.
  3. Free service allowance = WhatsApp numbers × 1,000.
  4. Service fee = (service messages minus the free allowance, never below zero) × the service rate.
  5. Total = the sum of all four, shown before and after 18% GST. Fees are rounded to the paisa.

Assumptions

  • All messages go to people with Indian (+91) numbers. Other countries have different rates.
  • Replies are spread across your numbers so that each uses its own 1,000 free service messages. If one number sends most of the replies, your fee will be higher.
  • Every utility message is counted as billable, whether sent inside or outside the 24-hour window.
  • The calculator uses base rates. Utility and authentication volume discounts are not applied.
  • Only delivered messages are charged by Meta. Enter delivered volumes if you know them.
  • Meta bills these fees, not WebinarRun. Your WebinarRun plan and AI credits are separate.

Frequently asked questions

Who charges the WhatsApp message fees?

Meta charges the WhatsApp Business Platform message fees. WebinarRun does not add a per-message fee; your WebinarRun plan is billed separately.

Are WhatsApp service replies free?

From 1 October 2026, Meta charges service messages (free-form replies inside the 24-hour window) beyond the first 1,000 per WhatsApp number each month. Before that date they were free.

Do replies from an AI agent count as service messages?

Yes. A reply sent by an AI agent inside the 24-hour window is a service message, the same as one your team types, so it counts toward the free allowance and is charged after it.

How current are the rates in this calculator?

The India rates were last checked on 7 October 2026 from Meta partner posts that quote Meta's rate card. They are indicative, so confirm them on Meta's own pricing page before you budget.

Does GST apply to WhatsApp message fees in India?

Meta's India rates are quoted before tax, and 18% GST is generally added. The calculator shows totals with and without GST.

Do utility and authentication messages get volume discounts?

Yes. Meta lowers utility and authentication rates in tiers as your monthly volume in a country grows. The thresholds are on Meta's rate card, and this calculator uses the base rate, so very high volumes will cost less than shown.
